Studs on Jeans- Their purpose

Jeans are a type of pants or trousers as some may know it made from dungaree or denim materials. Jeans were invented by  Jacob W. Davis in partnership with Levi Strauss  in 1871.
There are many types of jean designs that we wear. There is the ripped jeans, plane, skinny, vintage bootcut and so on... But there is something peculiar to it all

these types of designs of jeans- Studs(follow the red arrow). This copper or metallic parts are usually found on jeans but I think a lot of people do not know what they are for, or why they are there.

In the original design, studs also known as rivets were used to hold jeans together at places where they were most likely to come apart, like at the pockets. Although the practical purpose and circular shape remain a necessary anchor placed at the top and bottom of a belt loop and zippers.

The long and short of it all is that the stud or rivets found on jeans are for holding it together.
