The Eagles traveled to Younde, Cameroon for the return leg of the FIFA World Cup 2018 qualifers and finished the game with a goal a piece for both teams.
Having been beaten 4-0 in the reverse fixture last Friday in Uyo, it was expected that the Lions will come out roaring against the Eagles.
Though that was the case, it was still the Eagles that drew the first blood through Moses Simon who was on target in the 30th minute.
The Nigeria team had a handful of other chances to extend their lead but were unable to do so.
With Cameroon continually pressing for an equaliser, their persistence paid off in the 75th minute when they were awarded what looked like a soft penalty.
Vincent Aboubakar who came off the bench held his nerve to convert the spot kick to make the score 1-1.
Despite the draw, the Super Eagles are still top of their qualifying group with 10 points from four matches, while Cameroon remain third with three points.

Dembele ruled out for the rest of 2017
Barcelona new signing Ousman Denbele has been ruled out of the laliga competitions for the next three and half months after a ruptured hamstring picked up by the young star during the Getafe clash on saturday.
The Catalan giants feared their record 105 million-euro ($125 million) signing could be sidelined for four months after suffering the injury attempting a backheel in Saturday’s 2-1 win at Getafe.
It is the first major injury of Dembele’s career and Barca boss Ernesto Valverde admitted a more experienced player may have picked up on signs all wasn’t well before completely tearing the muscle.

Zambia, who are second with four points, face bottom team Algeria in Constantine on Tuesday night in the other match of Group B.
After this round of the competition is over, it will resume back to continue in October with Nigeria facing Zambia at home.

Kylian Mbappé going home to Paris with sights on Neymar partnership
Sánchez, who has only one year remaining on his contract and has refused to sign an extension, has been a target for City all summer having indicated he would like to work for their manager, Pep Guardiola, once more.
City were initially willing to offer around £50m for Sánchez, although Arsène Wenger has insisted that he would not be sold. It is believed that City’s latest offer includes Sterling and around £20m. Arsenal have denied receiving any official bid, although it is understood that they have held talks with City in recent days.
The Chile international was signed by Guardiola for Barcelona from Udinese in the summer of 2011 but the manager left at the close of the following season.
Sánchez is due to play for Chile against Paraguay in a World Cup qualifier on Thursday having returned from injury in Arsenal’s 4-0 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday.
Arsenal defeat leaves die hard fan dead
Arsenal loses against Liverpool FC yesterday at the Anfield Stadium. The meeting of London's favourite teams was their first for the season. Both team battled hard for the
win but the home team dominated and won the game 4 goals to nil.
In a previous game between the gunners and Stoke city team also saw the former lose the game by a goal down. This did not go down well with a fan who collapsed and died at the result of the game. Speculations have it that the deceased man from Imo state must have had a heart condition. Some others say he must have gambled over the game and lost and couldn't withstand the loss.

Mayweather defeats Mcgregor in Money Fight
The fight between the undefeated Mayweather and Mcgregor ended with the more experienced fighter emerging victorious. The fight which lasted for 10 rounds saw Mayweather get his 50th knockout against The UFC legend. Although Mcgregor did not fall from the KO punch, he remained on his feet but the officiating referee had to end the fight.
Both fighters showed respect for each other during and after the fight with Mcgregor admitting that Mayweather was a better fighter than he had expected. The UFC champions' defeat was attributed to his lack of experience in long fights- in this case 10 rounds. As time went on during the fight he threw less and lesser punches that had no effect on his opponent. Mayweather on the other hand admitted that the length of the fight was their game plan.
The victor of the fight, Money Mayweather as he rightly called bowed out of boxing career for the second time. The boxing champion has been undefeated since the beginning of his career with a record of 50 fights, 50 wins and 27 knockouts.

Well, tickets for the fight are still on sale but very expensive. Prices available are from £390 to £1,200, £2,000, £2,800, £4,000 and £5,900. I guess the more expensive seats are the ones in front with full view where you you smell the sweat from the fighters and have blood splattered on you, if you enjoy such things.

Barcelona to sign Angel D'Maria
Barcelona are reportedly close to agreeing a €50 million deal to bring former Real Madrid and current PSG star, Angel Di Maria to the Camp Nou, Catalan newspaper Sport reports.
The Spanish giants have had a difficult time in landing their prime targets in the current transfer market and have so far failed to get a replacement for Neymar who switched to Paris Saint-Germain in a world record € 222 million fee.
Lionel Messi has just one year remaining on his current contract, and it is believed that the arrival of a friend and Argentine colleague, Di Maria could help convince him to finally put pen to paper on an extension.
Ronaldo scores a screamer
The Portugal captain is banned from competitive domestic action for another three games, but was able to get some game time in the club friendly.
Ronaldo cut into the area from the left, before curling a spectacular effort into the top corner, in a 2-1 win over Fiorentina on Wednesday.
“That’s what this man is capable of, we’re happy to have him here,” Zidane told Real Madrid TV after the game.
“We put in a disciplined display and made a good start. I’m happy because the fans came out in their numbers and that was very important for us.
“We achieved what we wanted to, the trophy remains here and we all head home happy.”
Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane, had earlier confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo will feature for 90 minutes, in their game against Fiorentina on Wednesday.

Messi Considering Barca Exit
MANCHESTER CITY have met with Lionel Messi’s camp to discuss a potential world-record transfer, according to reports.
And the Barcelona superstar is “seriously considering” an exit from the club. The Argentina international was said to have signed a five-year deal back in July, when Neymar was still at the club.
But club vice president Jordi Mestre claimed that, though a new contract had been verbally agreed, Messi was yet to ink his signature.
This has led to talk that Manchester City could be about to chance their arm and bring him to the Premier League. The Premier League giants are said to have met with Messi’s representatives in a Barcelona restaurant last week to try and broker a deal.
Also Spanish outlet Diario Gol claim Real Madrid players think Messi is unhappy in Catalonia. They noticed him grimacing in the Betis victory and not celebrating Barcelona goals with much vigour. As a result, Madrid players put that down to his frustrations with Barcelona’s transfer business. The Catalan giants have failed to replace Neymar, who left for Paris Saint-Germain earlier this month.
BARCA WIN A MORALE BOOST FOR THE SEASON

Liverpool Rejects Barcelona Third offer for Coutinho
Liverpool have rejected a third bid from Barcelona for Philippe Coutinho. The bid was believed to be around of £114m for the Brazilian.
Liverpool's rejection of Barcelona's third offer for Coutinho is further hard evidence of the determination within the club that they will not be forced into selling their prize asset under any circumstances.
Liverpool Manager Klopp, remain unmoved by the Catalans increased financial enticement as well as a transfer request from a player who has clearly had his head turned.
Liverpool regard this latest bid, understood to be about £114m, as irrelevant because their stance, as it has been from day one, is that Coutinho will not be sold.
But questions remain. Will Barcelona take the hint and walk away? Will Coutinho, sidelined by a back injury, accept his dream move will not come to fruition and eventually return to the fold? Will his unhappiness increase at the prospect of a switch to the Nou Camp slipping away?
For all the noises coming out of Barcelona that a move is "close", it remains as far away as the day they made their first approach. Liverpool's mood has not changed.
Madrid wins Super cup
Real Madrid hosted Barcelona for the second-leg of the Spanish Super cup after beating them 3-1 at the Camp Nou. Los Blancos did not take their feet off the pedal as they came out with a very convincing 2-0 win at the Santiago Bernabeu to claim the trophy in front of their own fans.
Sánchez, who has only one year remaining on his contract and has refused to sign an extension, has been a target for City all summer having indicated he would like to work for their manager, Pep Guardiola, once more.

COSTA IN LEGAL MATTERS WITH CHELSEA FC
Chelsea striker, Costa has been in legal lugger-heads with club for pending his transfer exit from the club.
The striker claimed he was informed by coach Antonio Conte via text message in June that he was not a part of the club's plans anymore. However, Conte claims that Costa and his agent Jorge Mendes were told in January that the forward would be sold in the summer.
The striker, who wants a transfer back to Atletico Madrid, has instructed his lawyer Ricardo Cardoso to get involved.
Chelsea want £50m for Costa transfer but Atletico, who are banned by FIFA from registering any new players until January, have offered only £26m so far. AC Milan did hold talks with Mendes earlier this month over a transfer, but made it clear they were only interested in a permanent deal, rather than a short term loan.

Barcelona block player's multi-million bonus
Barcelona block player's multi-million bonus
The Brazilian football star, who is due to come back for training on Wednesday morning, is at the center of an apparent tug of war...
Barcelona have blocked payment of a 26-million-euro ($31-million) bonus for star attacker Neymar as speculation mounts that he will move to Paris Saint-Germain, a source at the club said Tuesday.
The Brazilian football star, who is due to come back for training on Wednesday morning, is at the centre of an apparent tug of war between the two European giants in what would be the most expensive transfer fee in football history.
Speculation is mounting that the 25-year-old could quit Barcelona for PSG for a world-record 222 million euros.
"These 26 million euros have been placed with a notary pending to see if the player continues," the source, who refused to be named, told AFP.
The renewal bonus was agreed on a year ago when Neymar extended his contract with Barcelona until 2021, and was due to be paid to the player after he completed a year.
But the club has decided to put it on hold pending to see how the situation evolves.
The contract Neymar signed also increased an early termination clause from 200 to 222 million euros, which PSG is reportedly willing to pay.
Neymar's future is the talk of Spanish football, and particularly Barcelona supporters.
After a successful pre-season tour in the United States that saw Barcelona win against Juventus, Manchester United and Real Madrid, the footballer flew to China for a promotion trip.
But he studiously avoided commenting on the situation.
On Wednesday, Barcelona players resume training after their summer break, with a double session in the morning and in the afternoon.
Neymar has been called to the training, the club source said, although Spanish sports media doubt he will show up.
